Siri Lamoureaux is a PhD researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology in Halle (Saale), Germany. She is currently carrying out fieldwork in Sudan on the impact of a language and literacy programme among Nuba Moro people resident in Khartoum. Her project is entitled “Language, communication technologies and identity politics in the Nuba Mountains”.
